CORPORATE OVERVIEW

Cubex is an industry leading drill rig manufacturer focused on the design and service support of a wide range of underground in-the-hole (ITH), and geo-technical drilling equipment. Over 30 years in business, the company has expanded progressively with leading edge equipment designed for a wide variety of drilling applications. Cubex has received ISO 9001 certification.
Cubex drills are designed from a common set of modular components that allow the company to provide machines and service support for many different types of mining and geo-technical drilling applications around the world. Our company’s operations focus on two main areas:
- Drills built by Cubex are known globally for reliability and versatility, and are suitable for drilling long and accurate holes. These drills are available in either tracked or rubber-tired versions, designed with the flexibility to be configured for a wide variety of mining applications. Appropriately fitted with articulated frames, onboard air / water boosters, and remote drilling capabilities, these drills can consistently and safely produce thousands of tons per man shift.
- Cubex Air and Water Boosters are known within the industry for maintaining exceptionally high-pressure and high cubic feet per minute (cfm). In 1986, Cubex was the first company to introduce 350 psi (24.1 bar) air to the underground mining industry. Cubex boosters make the company’s underground and surface drills highly productive by using either high pressure air or water to effectively drill long, straight holes.
Cubex builds its core business around service and serviceability. Our drill rigs are designed to be easily maintained, with logical placement and easy access to components. And as strong as our drills are, any drill can be stopped in its tracks by red tape — that’s why our production line is streamlined to ensure smooth communication between clients, managers and the factory floor. Staff are located globally to be in the best position to provide technical information, updates, and exceptional post-sales service support. Cubex operates in each of the major mining centres through our exclusive dealer partnership with Sandvik Mining and Construction. Consumable parts are positioned locally for ideal service times.

Our History
For more than 30 years, Cubex has been actively involved in the contracting of services, supplying of capital equipment, and in designing and manufacturing equipment for the mining industry around the world. Since the acquisition of the Megamatic Drill Division from TRW Mission Manufacturing Company, Cubex has moved aggressively into the international mining market. Today, there are Cubex Megamatic drills operating successfully in practically every major mining area around the world.
Our ultimate objective is to provide our customers the means to produce correctly-sized broken ore. Toward this end, Cubex has designed a drilling machine to safely and efficiently drill long, accurate holes in any direction. Cubex Megamatic drills have been designed around a common group of components that can be assembled in a variety of configurations, from rubber-tired to track, diesel and/or electric, ITC and/or top-hammer.
In 2004, we began producing a convertible drill, Megamatic 6200H, that can be easily converted from a hydraulic top hammer to ITH drilling. We have recently concluded field trials on a newly designed rotary head that will accommodate high pressure water hammer drilling while still retaining our patented spline piston breakout system.
All our drill models are capable of, and have successfully performed, a wide variety of underground drilling applications.
Cubex Limited has a broad knowledge of the drilling industry that goes to its roots. Twenty-five years ago, the company started out as a drilling contractor. Today, the company is still contracting its drilling services to the oil field industry, by supplying men and equipment for specialized air drilling services to the oil industry around the world. Each Megamatic drill produced reflects the successful blending of engineering excellence with the application realities of the job site.
